Controls Hardware Engineer - Level 2

We are recruiting for Level 2 Electrical Controls Engineers with 3-5 years of experience designing and supporting electromechanical systems throughout the lifecycle. If you have a knack for figuring things out and have a passion for engineering and manufacturing, then this may be your next career. You will use state of the art engineering tools, be part of a high-performance team, and develop next generation technology.

Compensation ranges from $55,000/yr to $75,000/yr depending on skill set and experience. Competitive benefits include 2 weeks paid time off, 8 paid holidays, matching 401K, and contributions toward employee health insurance.

The candidates must have the following basic skills:

Key Responsibilities

  • Control hardware selection and integration into complex electromechanical systems
  • Identify problem statement then select, implement, and commission the best fit solution
  • Design custom industrial automation systems to meet our client’s requirements
  • Create wiring schematics with SolidWorks Electrical
  • Create panel layouts with SolidWorks Electrical 3D
  • Completion of Bill of Materials
  • System testing and validation of industrial control circuits
  • System startup, troubleshooting, and commissioning
  • Troubleshooting and repair of legacy automation and CNC equipment
  • Identifies areas of risk and takes steps to mitigate them
  • Takes ownership of project tasks to ensure client satisfaction
  • Improves internal processes and standards as the industry and technology evolves
  • Effective communicator verbal and written

Experience

  • SolidWorks Electrical (preferred)
  • AutoCad Electrical
  • Industrial electromechanical system design
  • Understanding of industrial PLC, HMI, and servo systems
  • Rockwell Automation products
  • Mitsubishi Electrical products
  • CNC hardware/programming
  • Startup and troubleshooting of equipment
  • NFPA 70 & NFPA 79
