Controls Hardware Engineer - Level 2

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and integrate control hardware into electromechanical systems.
  • Develop and optimize wiring schematics and panel layouts using SolidWorks Electrical (preferred) or AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Oversee system testing and commissioning, troubleshooting industrial automation, control circuits, PLCs, HMIs, and CNC systems.
  • Assess risks and ensure compliance with NFPA 70, NFPA 79, and other industry standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve efficiency, quality, and reliability in system design and installation.
  • Document processes by generating engineering reports, troubleshooting guides, and user manuals.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in electromechanical system design, industrial automation, or control engineering.
  • Proficiency in:
    • Software: SolidWorks Electrical (preferred) or AutoCAD Electrical.
    • Hardware: Industrial PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, and CNC hardware.
    • Industry Standards: NFPA 70, NFPA 79, and risk assessment practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent documentation skills, including proficiency in Excel, technical writing, and engineering reports.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year (based on experience).
  • Paid Time Off: Two weeks of PTO plus eight paid holidays.
  • Retirement: Matching 401(k) program.
